POR:TA IS FOCUSED ON THREE DIFFERENT ARTISTIC STRANDS:

CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ARTS
MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS
CRAFTS WITH LOCAL AND REGIONAL HISTORY

WE ARE COMMITTED TO ACTIVATING ARTISTS

AND THEIR PROJECTS BY:

Identifying high caliber local talent and sparking collaborations with international counterparts, namely in the art and design industries;

Funding or helping raise funds for projects;

Consulting on communications and production;

Facilitating introductions to curators, publications, agencies, institutions, collectors, record labels, music producers and other artists and designers, from around the world;

Providing spaces for exhibitions, artist residencies and pop-ups;

Developing mechanisms to accelerate artists’ growth, success and recognition.

Passa ao Futuro materials and tools, with a piece of woven wicker being built in the traditional way, interwined; not finished already. Probably it will be a basket.
