Music Session #6 at Palácio Ramalhete, featuring the violinist Maria da Rocha.
Maria da Rocha is a classically trained violinist and multi-instrumentalist with a strong focus on experimental and contemporary music. She has studied in Lisbon, Aveiro, Berlin, and Belfast, and has performed internationally with orchestras, ensembles, and artists like Benjamin Clementine and Sam the Kid. Her work spans concerts, theatre, and film, and she is a musician, composer and improviser. Maria has released two solo albums blending violin with electronics, and is preparing the third release, Mystery Sonatas, inspired by baroque music and themes of migration.
